Yes, obviously they ... ( 1 month ago by badbeatbri3)
Yes, obviously they meant the width of the face of the coin. But notice that on an octopus of this size the eyes are at least 3 inches apart, and probably more. And notice that she states it can squeeze through anything it's beak can get through, with
no mention at all of the cartilage between the eyes. Sorry, but she is misinformed.

True, but because the mistake was so commonly made "octopi" is now acceptable and used in
 even many formal publications.

Five years if lucky or in captivity. Only 3 in the wild. And the female dies shortly after giving
birth because she starves herself. They have three hearts too!
They can use jet ... ( 4 weeks ago by SWLinPHX)
They can use jet propulsion to move like a torpedo if necessary to flee, but they use it sparingly because it tires them out. Usually they just swim or crawl on
 the bottom.
Because humans are ... ( 4 weeks ago by SWLinPHX)
Because humans are selfish and don't care if something is intelligent or has feelings. They are sentient creatures and very
kind and loving. The most intelligent non-mammals on Earth!
Sadly the octopus ... ( 4 weeks ago by SWLinPHX)
Sadly the octopus you are watching, "Caroline", has now died. : ( They replaced her with Octavius. She only lived 5 years. They are so smart and sentient but live such short lives. Even dogs live too short, yet animals like turtles and parrots live as
long as humans. Not fair if you ask me. Who determines life span anyway? Should be based on intelligence and sentience.

Yeah, they like crabs and often use them to demonstrate how they eat. Poor crab; even its hard shell is no match for that razor sharp and powerful octopus
 beak.
